LANDA GIN POLES

LANDA GIN POLES are manufactured with superior quality steel when its paramount for safety and reliability to get the job done. Whether its installing a 2000' tower, performing tower antenna head work or doing a re-pack. Landa gin poles can be transported in 7' sections up to a rooftop or building for assembly and perform a much more cost effective changeout vs. a helicopter pick.

Landa Mobile Systems has a stock of heavy-duty 200′ mobile towers that can be deployed immediately. The Department of Defense and Navy Acquisition testing have ranked Landa’s “cell on wheels” solution as their #1 portable tower for ICBM launch platforms. This is due to its robust footprint, height, strength, durability, and wind resistance capabilities. A few years back, Landa Mobile Systems worked through the approval testing process and acceptance testing standards under (Navy) acquisition rules. However, B.A.E. imposed a new government-required Acceptance Test Procedure that mandated testing every aspect of the tower system with them as a witness before they could accept it.

The BAE-led buyer stated: “I would recommend this mobile tower for anyone, commercial or government.”

Nicholas D Kuper, Deputy Engineering Manager/Meteorologist NASA, said, “NASA will be launching three sounding rockets in Australia for the first time since 1995. In support of these three science missions, the LMS CR150 Tower is utilized to help provide critical near-surface wind measurements from 50’ to 150’. The CR150 provides a mobile tower solution where a permanent tower structure is not possible/feasible, which makes it ideal for these types of remote deployments. At multiple levels, the tower will house anemometers, mounting arms, cables, etc. These instruments provide real-time wind measurements back to wind-weighting systems at various levels, which play a critical role in verifying the environmental conditions are safe for launching the rockets.”

D.O.D.’s quote justification stated: “A Landa Mobile Tower is the only one that meets all the critical requirements according to analysis comparison\evaluation.” Landa’s portable tower and robust design come with a larger deployed footprint providing a 105 mph wind resistance capability,” where tower erection and retraction times must be under 30 minutes to meet mission timeline requirements.

Integrated. Battlespace simulations and test department rely on Landa for training, maintenance parts, and support.

The tower tilt & lift ratings have been determined through full-scale testing.  Landa Mobile Systems has tested the tilting and lifting of the tower head load.  A head load is defined as the weight of the equipment clustered at the top of the tower.  The maximum head load capacity for the Lattice LMS XHW and XHD model Towers is certified to 2000 lbs / 900kg. For tilting and 2000 lbs / 900kg for lifting.

Typically, the maximum loads in the lifting cables are generally not derived during lifting but when in the guyed condition combined with the max wind condition.  During the wind conditions, the guy cables pull down [against] the lifting cables during regular operation.  As the wind speed increases, the load in the lifting cables increases.  Engineering has checked these conditions and the strength of the lifting cables as part of this analysis.  Therefore, the lifting cables have the strength to tilt and lift the tower with 2000lb / 900kg and can withstand the total wind load when engineering completes load analysis for each deployment.
