Communication Shelters
Our shelters are engineered and designed to meet the requirements of all 50 U.S. states and Canada. Many models can be easily assembled and transported to remote locations using our skid mounts.
Construction
The shelters are constructed from hot-dipped galvanized metal, coated with a durable finish that won’t chip or peel, available in any color you need. You can also choose from various siding options, including white, sand finish, stone aggregate, and more. We offer customizable options for HVAC systems, power panels, auto transfer switches, cable trays, entry ports, and power meters. The standard wind rating for these shelters is approximately 120 mph, with the option to add wall and ceiling reinforcements that can increase wind resistance to 150 mph.
Panels
Our panels are tested and certified by UL for flame spread and smoke development, listed under UL file R8160. The panels feature a UL label that displays these ratings. Additionally, door panel assemblies are evaluated for electrical requirements and listed under UL file E46140, with the UL mark affixed to the door assemblies. Independent testing labs have certified our modular panels and components for compliance with codes regarding flame-spread, smoke development, toxicity, and sanitation. Final approval may depend on application and local code requirements, and we can provide any necessary backup data to assist with approval from local, state, or federal agencies.
U.S. Federal, State, and
Canadian Code Compliance
Our shelters use tongue-and-groove sectional panels that lock together quickly and easily, allowing you to create walk-ins of virtually any size. These modular panels can also be disassembled for future expansions or relocations. To maintain cooling capability or add freezer space, partition the walk-in with Tee sections and vertical panels. If space allows, you can even add another room to create a dual-temperature unit.
The tongue-and-groove panels used in our modular construction ensure a tight, secure fit. PVC gaskets, foamed in place on the interior and exterior edges of the tongue rail, provide an even panel joint that won’t pull out or misalign. The double return bend of the metal interlocks with the foam for added strength and rigidity.
