Securing African borders by enhancing cooperation among border and defense authorities with Landa Mobile Systems at the forefront as a strategic partner.

11/28-29 The launch of the Border Management Authority in South Africa was a stepping stone for inter-agency cooperation within the region to combat the challenges facing border security. The passing of the bill comes at a time when the threats of illegal migration and transportation of banned substances are at the forefront of the region’s national security agenda. An integrated border management concept is therefore needed across the Southern African region to help aid the armed forces, border guards, customs, and other officials in the journey towards improved resilience against illicit cross border activity. Operation Convergent Response was created by Verizon to demonstrate the use of innovative new technologies selecting Landa Mobile Systems

Towers to support first responders during disaster preparedness training.  The carrier has relied on support from other sectors of the tower industry to accelerate the development of the project.

Lendlease, one of the world’s largest property, infrastructure, and construction management firms, participated in the project at the Guardians Center of Georgia, by installing and operating a temporary communications tower. Verizon and its technology partners then launched a fully automated drone from a drone box, deployed a drone detection system, and maintained a 360-degree live feed camera attached to the tower to support first responders during training simulations ranging from man-made to natural disasters.

Yannis Macheras, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Tower Development, said, “We were delighted to be an active participant of this important trial intended to help Verizon support the integration of state-of-the-art communications in disaster relief situations.”

“Operation Convergent Response demonstrates the wide range of technologies available today to support first responders and businesses when faced with a major crisis situation,” said Jeffrey Schweitzer, chief innovation architect, Business Products & New Business Innovation for Verizon. “Emergency response is a collaborative effort, and we thank our fellow technology experts for helping us demonstrate these capabilities.”

Homeland Missile Defense System Successfully Intercepts ICBM Target

May 30, 2017 – Ground-based Midcourse Defense The U.S. Missile Defense Agency, in cooperation with the U.S. Air Force 30th Space Wing, the Joint Functional Component Command for Integrated Missile Defense and U.S. Northern Command, today successfully intercepted an intercontinental ballistic missile target during a test of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) element of the nation’s ballistic missile defense system. Landa mobile systems towers were a critical part of this deployment intercept program.

AT&T has committed to having 700 deployable available nationally for FirstNet.

We hope to be their supplier here in the USA, whereas we have never had a blow over in the history of our company. Landa Mobile Systems have been being deployed without fail for 5 years plus with AT&T

LMS Outrigger Needle Bearing install, Greatly reduce the effort when deploying outriggers to a minimum.

If your deploying the units into the muddy tundra or high mid and sand desert.  It’s best to cover the fronts of the outriggers with a plastic bag and bungee cord holding it on tight to prevent penetration of contaminants into the outriggers.  The ends under the trailer are sealed to prevent as well.

This works well on cable as well

T-MOBILE LMS 150 HD 150′ mobile tower being removed after four years.

This has been one of our real success stories as this tower has been up for four years straight in Caldwell, NJ, without a hitch.  The tower was loaded with six ea 6′ x 1′ cell panel antennas fed with 12 runs of 1 5/8″ heliax.  A total load combined weight exceeding 2000 lbs.  The towers look to be in excellent shape and will need an inspection before its next deployment.   There have been many storms in the area in the past four years, and nothing has affected the performance of this tower. Its engineered loading is 95 MPH with 1/2″ ice in its current configuration.  No manufacturer in the Americas comes close to the height, and loading Landa can provide.  We are now reaching mobile heights of 155′.  Land lease acquired tower and deployed for Verizon tests, and the original buyer took a 15k hit for four years use. It pays in the long run to buy the best.

Excited today, shipping out our new LMS 111 HD. 111′ Mobile Tower

Towers are going to a “classified configuration deployment location.” This unit will bring critical communications into the arena.
We have added an additional 5′ and our Starr Mount for microwave placement among other antennas. There is nothing built in the Americas that can compare to the height, loading ability, and high wind load rating capacity. These two units are the beginning of many. We are heading in the right direction.

LMS 106 HW Portable towers, Eyes On-Site (EOS) utilizes LiDAR to capture existing conditions with exacting precision.

LiDAR (light detection and ranging) utilizes optical remote sensing devices (laser scanners) that emit hundreds of thousands of laser pulses per second and then measures how long it takes those pulses to return from surrounding objects. The measured time is converted to the distance to create 3D points that, in turn, are used to create highly precise 3D digital terrain surface models.

Accurate 3D field measurements (and video data) are acquired from multiple sensors located around the site, creating what’s referred to in the scanning industry as a “point cloud.” Tens of millions of 3D points cover the project site with point spacing (space between acquired points) well less than one inch. This data density provides the greatest clarity for data ac-curacies in measuring stockpile volumes, creating digital elevations models (DEM’s), or digital terrain models (DTM’s).
For project sites like quarries, asphalt plants, or ready mix concrete yards LiDAR sensors and cameras are positioned on mobile or stationary towers ranging in height from 50 to 100 feet tall (dependent on site conditions) to capture details more quickly and safely than traditional surveys methods or UAV flyovers, with no disruption to site operations, providing data (volumetric results) at any time site information is needed.

Mobil Tower Check-up…

Landa Mobile Systems LMS150 HD implodes, mobile in testing with client

This is what happens when you don’t disconnect your guy wire from guy anchors and lower and raise towers twice a day.  People become complacent, and don’t listen to engineers “when they’re told to loosen and disconnect guy wires and re-tension each time.”  This crew raised tower with guys tight from previous erection, and things change. Ground settles, and the unit is not leveled each time, and one side sinks due to soft ground.  They tried to push tower up and hold it back with guy wires, well it imploded into its self and destroyed the unit.  Unfortunately, we get the black eye for stu….operators not following instructions.

9/20/2017 Landa receives another order for ten more units after the company compares next to the competition. Our management staff and the production line have made great strides this year with assembly production and innovative ideas.

We are excited to ship another ten units to Digicel this week and happy we had the inventory to accommodate the disaster when it was needed.  We are now booked in assembly for the next month and may see daylight in November.

9/17/2017  27 COW’s are on the way to Houston states the representative of Digicel and the people of the impacted islands,

“I would like to thank you for your hard work in the last few days. It was a pleasure to work with you, and it’s amazing to see what we can accomplish when all work together. Please let all of your team members know how grateful we are for their hard work and support.”  It a great accomplishment to get these all loaded out in the one-day effort. Teamwork between the three made it happen. Working into the late nite getting the last few loaded out for shipping out of the country to the islands where communications been devastated.

New Kubota 7kw diesel gen-set with locking doors is our most popular.

We have them in stock for immediate delivery or placement on your mobile tower unit purchase.

We are building a way and on backorder these new models for the carrier.

We sure appreciate the business and booked for the next 4 weeks out in production. A good position and thank-full to be in.

2018 models to be unveiled November with all the bells and whistles.

The new units have a warranty that exceeds all others in the industry.  Landa mobile towers have never had a failure with a unit blowing over world wide. We have thousands of deployed units in the field. We are hoping that the emergency mobile towers become a priority and staged in storm areas on a standby backup for emergency communication. We have relied on landlines for decades, which is no longer the technology we rely on.

Not sure if I can get photos but will be cool to visit upon receiving my clearance. They want the mfg representative there for the install. Got to love it, keeping our nation safer.

8/12/2017 Landa assistance crew returns from the Bahamas

It was a real pleasure spending a week in Nassau with our client assisting them in loading up five more of the 20 units they purchased for Caribbean deployments. Their presence on the island has made a great difference for the people in coverage and affordability.

7/13/2017  Canadian Company and repeat Gin Pole owner praises Landa to Port of Nassau

Chris Martin buyer with www.codeelectricalinc.com quote, “It was a pleasure meeting you over the telephone today.  Further to our conversation, I was introduced to Landa through a couple of current trusted vendors. I looked them up online & did a little digging.  When I contacted Mike Landa, I found him and his production team to be extremely professional.  He was able to give me a reasonable timeline for the products we needed and then actually reduced the timeline by two weeks and was able to turn my product around in a week.  We will be using Landa in the future and are happy to recommend them as a reputable vendor. “

USGS Earthquake Science  Center orders multiple units from Landa

We appreciate the great order of more than a couple of our LMS 106 HW units equipped with generators, cabinets, microwave dish mounts for several locations in the USA.  Landa towers have become the forefront runner when it comes to stability and dependability coupled with the low maintenance in the world.

GSA orders are becoming the norm with us as we steer callers with Government agencies that qualify for GSA discount pricing afforded.  We commend the GSA agency for their assistance in working with other agencies and assisting our offices.  Landa products are a hands-down winner with successfully testing outperforming all competition in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

BAE accepts Landa towers after rigid testing confirmation

Quoting buyer  Linda Walton Program Manager BAE Systems, Chesapeake, VA 23320: “I imposed a gov’t required Acceptance Test Procedure which mandated they test every aspect of the tower system with us as a witness before we would accept it (which, having gone through one with them, I would recommend for anyone, commercial or gov’t).”

Great video produced by MDS and our IT department

Good job, and keep America safe. Landa Mobile Towers on the launch pads play a key element in helping keep the world safe and utilized on launches for space exploration. When its critical for an un-guyed high wind tower to withstand and remain stable when critical.  MDS called our office explaining the launch and how the tower had no movement and sustained no damage. Great news, and we look forward to providing more services in the future, whereas we are assured of growth and confidence in our products.

LMS Outrigger Needle Bearing install

Greatly reduce the effort when deploying outriggers to a minimum.

The new TIA-322 renders all gin poles without updated load charts, Charpy from the original build,  obsolete

The new TIA-322 renders all gin poles without updated load charts obsolete.  Many will not pass inspection criteria now in place VT Visual Welding Inspection Report, done at the time of manufacture, Mill Report on steel specification ASTM A500, Grade B/C, Charpy report on steel temperature test to –40 degrees.  We offer new Engineer stamped Load Charts noting the applicable pole serial number upon successful inspection,  and new load charts available for current owners of Landa Poles.  Lost records we always keep on file and are available to order.

Recommended treatments for pulleys, all cable, and needle bearings on outriggers read. Gin Poles manufactured prior to ANSI/TIA-322 must obtain new re-certification inspection and issuance of new load charts.

If your deploying the units into the muddy tundra or high mid and sand desert.  Its best to cover the fronts of the outriggers with a plastic bag and bungee cord holding it on tight to prevent penetration of contaminants into the outriggers.  The ends under the the trailer are sealed to prevent as well.

This works well on cable as well

T-MOBILE LMS 150 HD 150′ mobile tower being removed after 4 years.

This has been one of our real success stories as this tower has been up for four years straight in Caldwell, NJ, without a hitch.  The tower was loaded with 6ea 6′ x 1′ cell panel antennas fed with 12 runs of 1 5/8″ heliax. Lendlease acquired tower and deployed for Verizon tests, and the original buyer took a 15k hit for four years use.

This data density provides the greatest clarity for data accuracies in measuring stockpile volumes, creating digital elevations models (DEM’s), or digital terrain models (DTM’s).
For project sites like quarries, asphalt plants or ready mix concrete yards LiDAR sensors and cameras are positioned on mobile or stationary towers ranging in height from 50 to 100 feet tall (dependent on site conditions) to capture details more quickly and safely than traditional surveys methods or UAV flyovers, with no disruption to site operations, providing data (volumetric results) at any time site information is needed.
